Michael E. Palbus

Age 76, of Richland Twp., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Born April 21, 1948, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Palbus. Beloved husband of Tami Palbus, whom he married on December 3, 1977; father of Amanda (Michael) Bosco, Alexis (James) Sunstrom, and Abigail Palbus; gramps of Logan, Hannah, Carolina, Theodore, and Charlotte; brother of Diane Leininger. He was preceded in death by daughters, Natasha and Nicole.

Michael graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1966 and Georgetown University in 1970. When his country called he answered serving two tours in Vietnam and retired from the Army as a Major. He was an avid reader, gardener, and historian. He taught CCD at St. Catherine’s for many years. An adventurous and mischievous spirit, he summited both Mt. Rainier and Mt. Hood. He above all was a devoted father who always had time for his girls.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 1-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:30 am at Sts. Martha and Mary Parish, St. Catherine Church. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Mike’s name to Sts. Martha and Mary Parish, or the American Red Cross.
