I had worked with Mike at Target for twelve years. He was a good friend, and kept in contact with me even after I had left the job. I’ll truly miss our conversations about music, vacations, gardening, and Pirates baseball games. Thoughts and prayers to the Hartman family.

I met Mike in 1990 on my first St. John Neumann Appalachia Workcamp in Kentucky when he rode “shotgun” in a 15 passenger I drove for the first time! When we moved to Preston County,WV in 1992, Mike and I got lost trying to find a lumber yard the first time. He and his twin brothers were always a welcome addition to the trips. Will miss his smiles at Target!

My deepest condolences 💐 to Harty’s family. I met Harty 13 yrs ago at Target as a new Logistics supervisor and he was my backroom guy. He made the new girl from California feel comfortable in a place far away from home. We became friends instantly talking about our love of football, even though I’m a Raiders girl, and our love for music. Especially the 80s. Harty would always send me things on fb and we would chat. This news truly makes my heart sad. Harty was a great guy! Will miss talking with him or taking quizzes he would pass along. Until we meet again Harty! When I need a life line for music trivia you better send it down. Rest now my friend! ❤️

I worked with Mike at Target for 2 years. We traded 80’s bands quizzes daily. I’ve kept in touch with him for the 10+ years since. He kept me up to date on Jergels shows he knew I liked. I will miss that guy!
