Matthew Dean Mullen, 46, of Ross Township passed away on October 1, 2026. Son of Dean Mullen and Lynn Fletcher (Rich Speer); father of Juliana and Skylar Mullen; significant other to Jenny French; brother to the late Joshua Mullen.

Matt was a loving father who spent his days creating a secure and happy world for his two daughters, Juliana and Skylar. His world revolved around them, and every beat of his heart was for his girls. In raising them, he focused on instilling the lessons of gratitude and giving that he was taught while growing up. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, where he opened his heart and his table to family. He never defined family by genetics, but instead built it with love and presence. For Matt, Thanksgiving was not just an annual event but a daily rhythm, leading a lifestyle of gratitude. This was evident in everything he did, from volunteering his time filling backpacks for children in need, to approaching veterans in public to personally thank them for their service and his freedom. His acts of kindness resulted in him lovingly being known as the “auto representative” by friends. There was no act too big or too small to not be worth doing. He kept a fridge stocked on his porch during the heat of the summer for local delivery drivers, making sure they felt recognized and appreciated. He also loved ghosting gifts to neighbors and family; you never knew when a fire pit you wanted or a chainsaw you needed would show up at your house. While he always found the time to give to and for others, his priorities above all were his children. Juliana and Skylar were his entire world, and the deep love he had for his daughters remained the anchor of everything he did.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been created for his daughters if you would like you can contribute.
