MARY M RAVES (BODIS)

March 23,1925 – January 18, 2023

Of Ross Township, originally from Uniontown, PA. went to be with the Lord and her cherished husband on January 18, 2023.

Beloved wife of the late John J. Raves and loving mother of John (Paula), William (Sheila), Patricia and David (Denise). The proud grandmother of Brian Raves (Kristen), Jonathan Raves (Kelsey), Daphne Finch (Rhett), Zachary Raves (Danielle), Lia Raves, Elizabeth Raves and Matthew Raves. The most delighted great grandmother of Avalyn Raves, Ayden Raves, Declan Raves, Cora Raves, Holden Finch, and Henry Raves. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. All our lives are forever better because of her love, guidance, and laughter.

Mary was a Registered Nurse, avid gardener and artist who saw beauty in everything, and felt that everything could be art. A member of the Uniontown Green Gardeners and along with her husband was one of the founding members of Touchstone Center for Crafts, originally named Pioneer Crafts Council in Farmington, Pennsylvania.

A special thank you to all the wonderful caregivers from Vincentian Home who took care of her these last 4 years.  And the angels from Bridges Hospice who eased her transition.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint John Neumann(Regina Coeli Parish) on Thursday January 26, 2023 at 10:30 AM.
