MURRAY MARY CAROLYN (PAULEY)
She could have been and done anything – bright, enthusiastic, loved by all. She could have done anything, and she did. She became a wife, a mother of three wonderful kids, Lorine Murray- Mechini (Federico) of Princeton, NJ; Erin Murray Fornaro (Chet) of Louisville, KY and Robert Glenn Murray of Pittsburgh. Carolyn loved cooking. There is a bow on the shelf above the refrigerator from many cookbooks around the world. And she used them, for the family, the gourmet club, relatives and friends. Teaching and learning as the children grew, graduated, married, and moved into raising their own families. Volunteer work, supporting husband Bob’s architectural firm, and its successor firm Renaissance 3 Architects. Ten years ago, Carolyn survived breast cancer and five years ago survived another bout of breast cancer. Last fall, metastatic cancer in the lungs, liver and bone struck. After living in Old Virginia Manor in Mt. Lebanon for over thirty years, and watching her children travel through that school system, she and her husband Bob and son Glenn, moved to the country – Gibsonia with horses, pond, wildlife, and endless gardening opportunities. Carolyn gave much more then she received. She is also survived by sisters, Virginia Davis of Washington, PA, Geraldine Hayward, of Greentree, Linda Thwaite of St. Pete, Elaine Oddis of Upper St. Clair, and brothers Charles, Michael and Larry Pauley from the St. Pete area. She is loved by four grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Nicholas and Bridgett. In lieu of flowers, Carolyn requested that we perform random acts of kindness. Friends received Friday 2-4, and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800.
