90, of Cranberry Twp, formerly of Johnstown, PA passed away on Saturday April 2nd, 2016. Born August 15, 1925 in Bell Town, PA he was the son of the late
Paul and Catherine Gentile. Beloved husband of the late Rena (Reolon) Gentile . Beloved father of Thomas Gentile, Paula DiNardo (David) & Dr. Stephen Gentile (Melissa). Loving grandfather of Christina Bokor (Ryan), Jennifer Jablonowski (James) , Jordan Gentile, Hudson Gentile and the cherished Great Pappy of Payton Bokor. Preceded in Death by Brothers Domenic Gentile, Bill Gentile and sisters Nellie Renfroe and Jenny Gasbarro; Mother- in- Law and Father- in- Law Michael & Gina Manippo; Sister- in- law Emma Ursino , Brother-in-law Richard Manippo. Survived by Brothers Frank Gentile (Donna) , Tony Gentile (Leona), Reno Gentile, Paul Gentile (Janet); Sisters Vera Ravida and Helen Ferrante. Sister- in -law Charlene Manippo. Also his many beloved Nieces and Nephews. Mario was very devoted to his faith and his family. He was member of St. Andrews Catholic Church when he lived in Johnstown and attended Mass at St. Ferdinands Catholic Church while he was a resident at Sherwood Oaks for the last four years. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 9 to 10:45 AM at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry. 2678 Rochester Rd, Cranberry Twp.. (724)772-8800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Ferdinands Catholic Church, Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. on Wednesday at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest at All Faiths Chapel and Mausoleum in Windber, PA beside his loving wife on Wednesday at 3PM. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community for the loving care of our Father.
