Age 72, of Ross Twp., passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020. Beloved wife for 51 years of John; Cherished mother to Kelly Smith (Ed Smallwood) and Timothy Smith (Sara Kugelmass); Proud step-grandma to Samantha Smallwood; Loving sister of Mark Kasperowicz (Cindy), and the late Susan (Sovchen) Lang (Charles); Mimi enjoyed a long career in administration for the North Hills School District. She also kept busy volunteering with the UPMC Passavant Cancer Center, the North Hills Food Bank, Ross-West View EMS, and at St. Teresa of Avila Church, serving as an Eucharistic Minister and singing in the resurrection choir. Mimi loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved being outdoors, especially kayaking and hiking through the woods with her much-loved granddogs Ava and Barney. She was truly blessed with a wonderful family and many, many close friends whom she treasured. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Teresa of Avila Church on Wednesday at 10AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the North Hills Food Bank, 845 Perry Hwy. Pgh, PA 15229.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mimi’s passing. She was a beautiful person. I got to know her well when I served on the school board. She was kind, loving, and always had a smile on her face. Everyone loved Mimi. My prayers are for her family. She’s now enjoying the fruits of her life in heaven with all the saints.
She will be missed.

I enjoyed working with Mimi as well as seeing her at Club Julian. She always had a warm welcome and a smile on her face. She will be truly missed.
