Margaret S. Grant, a cherished mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, peacefully passed away at 95 on February 19, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on October 3, 1930, in Erie, Pennsylvania, she grew up in North East, Pa., where she enjoyed her youth with friends—many of whom she stayed connected with throughout her life. Margaret attended college for a year before pursuing a career as a flight attendant with Eastern Airlines.
Margaret was preceded in death by her dear husband of 46 years, Lon Grant, whom she married on June 5, 1954, and by her longtime companion, Walter Klindworth. She is survived by her loving daughters, Virginia (Randy) Hoffman, Cynthia (the late Philip) Przytarski, and Edith (William) Meyer. She cherished her role as “Granny” to her grandchildren: Lon, Adam, Emily (Donald), Jacob, John, Marleen, and Will, and to her precious granddaughter and namesake, Maggie, who died in infancy. Margaret was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Lillian.
A wonderful cook known for her gracious hospitality and warmth, Margaret brought joy to many gatherings. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed the company of her friends. She will also be deeply missed by her devoted caregiver and friend, Valerie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the LSL Foundation-St. John, P.O. Box 928, Mars, PA 16046, or the West Deer Dog Shelter, 109 E Union Rd, Cheswick, PA 15024, reflecting Margaret’s love for her community and animals.
We will celebrate Margaret’s life at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. The visitation will be on Sunday, March 1st, from 2-4 pm, followed by a service on Monday, March 2, at 10:30 am. Margaret will then be laid to rest on Monday afternoon at North East Cemetery in North East, PA.

I am very sorry to hear about Mrs Grant. I had the honor and privilege to be Mr and Mrs Grants mailman when they lived in Swan Acres. She was an amazing person. She was always great to talk to and always dressed to a T. Just a total class person.
My sincere sympathy to Peggys entire family, whom she cherished!
I am blessed to have so many fond memories of her. Recipes too!
