Elizabeth (Hartman) O’Neil, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February, 16th 2026.
Betty was the devoted wife of the late Robert O’Neil. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Chiappialle, her son-in-law Philip Chiappialle, her siblings Timmy Hartman, Blondie Sesti, Wina Hartman, Patty Hartman, and her nephew George Hartman Jr.
She is survived by her loving siblings: her sister Ruby Chippich (David); her sister Eileen Fischer (late Ted); her sister Kathy Elker (Chuck); her brother Eddy Hartman (Janet); and her brother George Hartman.
Betty was a proud mother to Diane and her husband Brian, step-mother to Debbie Dee (Tom) and Robert O’Neil Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to Chad Fischer, Mark Fischer, Roger Capretta (Missy), Brittany Dishler (Wyatt), Cole Chiappialle (Emma), Heather Hoover (Kevin), Tom Dee (Nicky), Josh Dee, & Danny Dee. She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy; Alexa, Jackson, Emma, Mackenzie, Philomena, Marco, Conor, Alyssa, Taylor, Kinsey, and Mason. She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Betty dedicated 37 years of service to West Penn Hospital. Her commitment, work ethic, and caring nature left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she shared so generously. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 20th from 2-4 & 6-8 at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, Inc. 806 Perry Hwy. Pgh, PA 15229. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, February 21st at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 800 Avila Ct. Pgh, PA 15237 at 10am.
