Margaret “Peg” (McDermott) Taschner, 83, of West View, died Sunday, April 12, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Earl J. Taschner; loving mother of Michael J. (Eileen), David W. (Susan), Kathleen A., Lorraine Krisza, Richard J. (Laura) and Jeffrey P. (Laura); sister of Eileen Savage, Patrick McDermott, of California, and the late Richard McDermott; grandmother of Christopher, Carolyn, Allison, Rebecca, Michael, Megan, Adam, Sarah and Andrew. Peg was a member of St. Theresa Players for more than 20 years, an usher at Benedum Center, a member of St. Athanasius Christian Mothers, a lector and Eucharistic minister at St. Athanasius. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Athanasius Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Athanasius Church.
