Louise L. Zokaites – “Do not let your hearts be troubled, you have faith in God, have faith also in me. I am at peace.” Louise L. Zokaites, of West View, Pa passed away peacefully on January 15, 2019 following her 87th birthday. Louise is the wife of the late Francis (Jack) Zokaites and the proud mother of Frank, Carita, Joseph, John, David, Marie and Mary Lou; her magnificent 7 children as she fondly referred to them. Louise beamed with love for each of her 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Louise will always be remembered for her gracious heart and hand-knitted gifts to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center of Pittsburgh; she generously volunteered to knit hats, scarfs, and baby blankets for cancer patients and newborns hoping to warm their hearts with her belief and gift throughout her lifetime that “every stitch was a prayer.” Family and friends may visit with Louise and family at Devlin’s Funeral Home 806 Perry Highway Pittsburgh, PA 15229 Sunday Jan. 20th 12-4 pm. A mass blessing and celebrating Louise’s life will be held in Louise’s honor at St. Athanasius Catholic Church West View on Monday January 21, 10 am, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, Louise and family request memorial contributions be made to Boy Scout Troop 377 C/O St. Athanasius Church 28 Wentworth Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15229 in Louise’s honor.
