Lawrence DeRobio, age 58 of Wexford, PA passed away on September 6, 2023 after a two year fight with cancer. Tolerant and patient husband of Julie Vavro for 28 years, son of Lawrence and Laverne (deceased) DeRobio, brother of Michael DeRobio. Proud uncle of Reagan, Clark, Amanda, Jackie, Marci, Nathan, Tyler, Andy, Sam, Max, Nick, Michael, and Bryan. Survived by many loving friends and family.
Larry’s smile and infectious laughter was remembered by everyone lucky enough to meet him. He was a diehard Pittsburgh sports fan. A man of strong political conviction, he was never shy about offering his opinions. He graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1982 and was very active in baseball and basketball for most of his life.
He will be remembered at a private memorial service.

I wish to express my deep condolences to Larry’s wife, Julie, and to his Father, especially since I met him once. I am the Wed volunteer at Hillman in Passavant. I shall miss Larry immensely His presence was glowing and he was always so helpful to the other patients. He will be sadly missed. (I just found out about his passing yesterday).
