Kenneth Bixby
November 07, 1914 - December 30, 2004
age 90 of Ross Twp. Died on Thurs. 12-30-04 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. He was born in Campbells Port, Wis. On 11-7-14 son of the late H.E. and Lena Hirsig Bixby. He retired from US Steel after 34 years in the sales and accounting Dept. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he was captain of the Baseball Team and received the 1941 Big Ten Medal for Scholarship and Athletic Prowess. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of McKnight United Methodist Church, Ross Twp.
Survived by his wife Anne M. (Behrendt) Bixby, 4 sons, Kenneth W. Of South Heights, John G. (Janet) of Saginaw, MI., Robert P. (Jill) of Ross Twp. And Roy J. (Lisa) of Wisconsin. 1 daughter, Ruth Gesselberty (John) of Stewartstown. Grandfather of Katy, Kelly, Kristen, Mary Anne, Thomas, and Renee Bixby.
Brother of Herbert Bixby of Fla., Gladys Nachtwey of Wisconsin, and Ruth Janzen of Wisconsin.
Preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Bentley.
Visitation Sunday and Monday 2-4, 7-9 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Ross Twp. Services in McKnight United Methodist Church Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in North Side Catholic Cemetery, Ross Twp.
