It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Keith E. Kephart, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. He peacefully passed away on November 20, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on February 2, 1948, Keith was the beloved husband of Karen for 51 wonderful years. Together, they shared a bond that was a true testament to love, devotion, and partnership. He was a proud and loving father to Kristan (Ryan Buskey) and Kasey (Ivy Shepard), and an adored grandfather to Brett and Benjamin. Keith was a supportive brother to five sisters, Kathy (Mark Benko), Susan, Claudia (Kenny Bracken,d.), Jeannie, and Kit and two brothers, Clifford, d. (Judi) and Scott, as well as an uncle to many nieces and nephews. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished the time spent with them.
As a young man Keith served our country as a military policeman in the Air Force.
Keith had a profound love for the outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, metal detecting, or simply enjoying a campfire, the natural world brought him much fulfillment. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Keith will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his love, good natured temperament, and warmth will forever remain in our hearts.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 806 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday 1PM in St. Teresa of Avila Church, 800 Avila Ct., Pgh, PA 15237. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, www.garysinisefoundation.org.
