Karen Popovich, age 74 of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away January 31,2021.She was born October 4, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pa. daughter of the late Charles and Wilma Popovich. She is survived by three sisters, Joanne Aheimer, Marilyn Bell and Charlotte Hornish, along with many nieces and nephews. Karen graduated from South Hills High School with High Honors,was a member of the National Honor Society and attended City College of San Francisco. Throughout her working career, she served as a secretary in several corporations, both in Pittsburgh and in California. She worked for companies such as Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bank of New York Mellon as well as Thompson Publishing in San Francisco. She spent over 30 years living in the San Francisco area she spent her time in Community Theater. Her love of cats, singing and music are small things that made her special personality. Karen was a donor to Alzheimer’s research and her memory can be honored by donations to Alzheimer’s research if desired. She will be forever greatly missed. A memorial service will be announced at a future date
