Judith A. Schlegel
Age 80, of Pine Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27, 2022 after a brief Illness. Born January 15, 1942, daughter of the late Earl and Geraldine (Meyer) Miller. Beloved wife of Robert P. Schlegel whom she married on June 12, 1965; loving mother of Jon A. (Diane) Schlegel, William D. (Ivy) Schlegel, Jennifer L. (Ted) Gregory, and the late Robert P. Schlegel Jr.; grandma of 14 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sister of William (Shirley) Miller.
Judi graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School in 1959 and Slippery Rock University in 1963 with a degree in health and physical education. She was a majorette for the Rock’s Marching Band. She met the love of her life, Bob, while teaching at Perrysville Elementary and the two were married for 57 years. After raising her own kids, she went back to teaching at Pine-Richland High School. She loved sports and watching her kids, grandkids, and students through the years. She was a huge Pittsburgh sports fan and one of the last remaining, most die-hard, loyal Pirate’s fans. She loved the beach, the sun, her cats and enjoyed her reading and taking care of her many indoor plants.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 4-7 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 am at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Darren Bowers. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery, Pine Twp.

Jude, my beloved sister, you are in Heaven with mom & dad (30 yrs. ago). Jesus loves you as I do also.

I was a secretary at Richland High School when Judi was a substitute teacher. We immediately formed a friendship which I have never forgotten. She was such a wonderful happy person and my condolences to your family.
