Service: Mass of Christian Burial in Regina Coeli Parish, Assumption Church, Saturday 11:30 a.m.

Of Ross Twp., on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Born June 20, 1924, in Pittsburgh, PA. Daughter of the late Daniel and Irene Caretta, and Jacob DelSignore; wife of the late Dr. John P. Monda; loving mother of Dana J Monda, and Dr. Kimberle Monda-Weiss (Richard) and the late Anthony Dean Monda; proud grandmother of Dr. Matthew Weiss (Alison) and Wesley Weiss; beloved sister of Theresa Gilfoyle; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Josephine was the Matriarch and Queen of our family.  Her Sunday dinners for family and friends are legendry memories to anyone who had the great fortune to attend one of these feasts. The gatherings kept us connected and were a priceless gift of love on her part.
Josephine was also a selfless caregiver to the entire family.  She sacrificed many things to care for all of us and we are forever grateful.
At 98 years old, she was still known to be a “Fashionista”.  Always up to the minute!  She always took pride in her home to the end.
If you knew Josephine you couldn’t help but admire and love her.  We lost our shining- star and she will be missed by all.  Our Sunday table will feel empty without her enormous presence.
No Visitation. Mass of Christian Burial in Regina Coeli Parish, Assumption Church, Saturday 11:30 am.
