Joe was born on Dec. 4, 1928 and grew up in Coraopolis PA. He served in the US Army from 1946-48 and was stationed in South Korea. Joe then attended Carnegie Technical Institute (currently known as Carnegie Mellon University) from which he graduated in 1953 with a BA in Architecture. In his eighties, he took a series of Italian classes at the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed attending operas with his beloved wife Clara during their forty year marriage.

Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend.
