Age 93, of Ross Twp., formerly of West View, peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2009. Husband of the late Mary (Hergenroeder) Cannon; loving father of Virginia Cannon and her husband Bob Schafgans of CA, and Joann Maraden and her husband Dave of Erie; grandfather of Kara Ann and Michael Maraden; brother in-law of Jean Tananais and Robert Hergenroeder and his wife Stu; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Grace Jeffreys and Eleanor Cannon. Joe was a WWII Veteran serving in the 88th Airborne. He was a long-time usher at St. Athanasius Church. He retired after 30 years as a salesman for Baierl Chevrolet. His passions were woodworking and golf, which he played well into his 80’s. His heart and spirit will be with us always. Friends received Monday, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Athanasius Church, Tuesday, 10am.
