Age 71, of Freedom, PA (Liberty Hills), on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Beloved husband for 48 years of Linda (Overand) Megela; loving father of Kurt (Linda), Brian, and the late Scott Allan Megela; proud grandfather of Garrett, Brooke, and Grace Megela; brother of Patricia (Edward), Joseph (Brenda), Robert (Debra) and David. Friends received on Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066 (724) 772-8800. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Liberty Hills Clubhouse on Sunday, January 27 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Rd., Wexford, PA 15090 or a charity of your choice. John proudly served his country, practicing dentistry for 6 years in the U.S. Air Force, which included a successful tour in Vietnam. This service will entitle him to inurnment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Linda and Family, So sorry for your loss. Dr. Megela holds lots of memories with my father and the dentists. I always enjoyed his company when our families met up. He was a wonderful man and will be missed.
