Joanna Marie (Arcovio) McGoey, 65, of Ross, was called home to join God’s heavenly choir on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was the loving wife of John B. McGoey; beloved mother of Shane (Kara) McGoey, Brian (Jayne) McGoey, Chris (Vicki) McGoey and Meghan (Eric) Pfaffle; cherished grandmother of Matthew, Emily, Elena, Daniel, Joshua, Patrick, Sarah, Katharine, Erin, Laura and Kaitlyn; beloved sister of Louis Arcovio, Theresa (Clinton) Shamp, Charles Arcovio, Louise Sapper and Dee (Louis) Fornelli; and beloved sister-in-law of James McGoey and Ann Paugh. A member of St. Teresa of Avila Church choir, Joanna shared her gift of song and her gift of faith. Spirited and loving, she touched all who were blessed to know her with her joy, compassion, friendship and generosity of heart. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Teresa of Avila Church. Joanna requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Easter Seals School North, Pines Plaza, 1130 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

I am so sorry to hear about Joanna. I have very fond memories of her when we worked together at DVUA. My prayers are with the entire family, may she rest in peace.
