Joan (Geisendorfer) Boddy, 86, of Cranberry Twp, PA passed away Friday, Nov 11, 2022. She was born June 8, 1936 in Berkeley, CA to the late Henry Albert and Julia (Culp) Geisendorfer, Jr. On Jun. 29, 1963, she was united in marriage with John Edward Boddy, the love of her life, who preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her son, Christopher Boddy and brother Henry Albert Geisendorfer III. She will be missed by her son, Bradley and his wife, Susan; grandchildren Megan and Jason Boddy; several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Family and friends are welcome on November 26th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm. The Memorial Service will be followed by a light dinner. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Joan’s name to the American Parkinson Disease Association.

I met Joan in 2002 when I moved to Leelanau County and joined the Leland Women’s Civic Club. Joan was very active in the group and, for a number of years, organized its summer Bake Sale that benefited the Civic Club’s scholarship fund. Joan was always very dedicated to making it a huge success!

Joan was a treasure and we were blessed to have her in our lives. We will miss her and pray the family finds comfort in knowing she is with our Lord.
