I am saddened to hear of yet another young life taken too soon before their time! I have known Jeff practically my entire life. I graduated with his older brother Eric. The Heil’s lived four doors down from my grandmother’s where I spent my childhood. Mr. Heil rescued me after I had a brutal bicycle accident at age 7 on Good Lane, I lost all control over the bike when I crashed to the ground I knocked out one of my front teeth, tore off the left side of my face, ripped off most of my left shoulder, hip and left leg from sliding through a cinder driveway for 20+ feet before I finally came to a stop. Fortunately, Mr. Heil was driving down Good Lane as the accident occurred, he stopped and scooped me up. I remember his precise words being "Holy Shit" as he placed me in his vehicle and promptly drove me to my grandmother’s house, after which to the emergency room I went! I am not sure what would have happened to me had Rege Heil not been there at that exact moment? I wanted to express my gratitude again and say…. Thank you so much Mr. Heil! My thoughts are with the Heil Family at this time of such sorrow. Please accept my most sincere condolences during your time of mourning.
