James L. Simmons Sr., 96, of the North Side, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Delaney) Simmons; father of Harriet Quaglieri (Anthony) and James L. Simmons Jr. (Kerry); grandfather of Lisa Purdue (Joseph), Stacy, Stephanie, Allison, Lauren, Mary Claire and Jenna; and great-grandfather of Joey, Zoe, Nicky, Logan and Kate. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday.
