At age 85, of Canadohta Lake, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Beloved husband of 63 years to Esther (Lilli); Loving father of Donald (Karen) and Father-in-Law of Sandra Fanning; James is gone to heaven to reunite with his daughter Deborah Ann Lintz and son James, Jr.; Preceded in death by his sister Avis Sweeney, and brothers Ira, Donald, and Norman Fanning; Devoted to his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. James is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Rd., (724) 772-8800, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11AM. James was a lifetime Shriners member. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
