Besides his wife, family and church, Jim’s great love and passion was beekeeping. He created lovers of beekeeping even from his front porch from which he sold his honey products. Jim helped guide his local club, the Beaver Valley Beekeeper Association, almost from its beginnings but more importantly was mentor and model as a life-long learner in his craft both locally and across the Tri State area.

He was an active member of Rehoboth Lutheran Church since 1973.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, B. Pauline Hoffman, his sons-in law George Nicoletti and Todd Brenneman and his siblings, Della Whitelock, Nancy Ritchie, Lois Redmond, Alene Texter and Edward Hoffman.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Carol Nicoletti, Linda Hoffman (Theresa Vucsko) and Cathy Brenneman, and his grandchildren, Brian Nicoletti, Amy Nicoletti, Kevin Brenneman and Scott (Alexandra Burns) Brenneman.

The family is grateful for the devoted caregivers at Concordia of Wexford and Bridges Hospice.
