HOWARD A.
Howard A. Euler, 93, of Valencia, PA, formerly of Gibsonia, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 9, 2014. Beloved husband of 67 years to June M. Euler; loving father to Victoria Y. Huffman (Richard) and Michael H. Euler (Jean). Howard was also the devoted and doting grandfather of Melissa Mlecko (Peter), Erin Snyder (David), Evan Euler and Jake Euler; and great -grandfather of Sophia Mlecko, Eli Snyder, Gabby Snyder, and Grace Mlecko. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius and Emma Euler; sister, Ethel Zern; and brother, Walter Euler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Howard graduated from Perry High School in 1939. He was a decorated World War II veteran who served in the US Air Force 375th Squadron, 361st group fighter pilots as a P51 Mustang Pilot. He attained the rank of Captain and was the recipient of the Meritorious Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a skilled machinist who worked for Air Tool Parts and Service for 45 years. Howard married June Magrini on June 4, 1947. Together they enjoyed dancing, boating, camping, bowling, and gardening. He was also a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and a season ticket holder for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a highly skilled craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and, over the years, built many things from rocking horses and dollhouses for his grandchildren and great -grandchildren to more complicated projects like furniture and, ultimately, building his own home. Howard also spent countless hours attending dance recitals and performances, baseball and football games, and other family celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries, first communions, and graduations for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as for his extended family. Friends and family will be received at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills, on Wednesday, February, 12, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Richard’s Parish, where he was a devout parishioner. Howard loved to read books.
