Grace Cross

Grace Verner Cross, of Sheraden, died of cancer on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at her home. She was a dedicated employee in the pharmacy department of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for the past 26 years. She had an associate degree in science from Community College of Allegheny County and a bachelor’s degree from Liberty University and did undergraduate study at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Grace also graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, had a Pennsylvania license in cosmetology and was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Sheraden, and affiliated with professional and charitable organizations. In addition to her passion for her family, she enjoyed creative writing, painting, arts and crafts, traveling and playing the bagpipes. Beloved daughter of Ann and the late John Verner. Cherished sister of Elizabeth Verner, Rosemary, Sally Luster, Edward and the late Gregory, John Jr. and Dorothy Bedner. The Rev. Donald Buchleitner, pastor of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, officiated at private services Saturday in the Allegheny County Memorial Park chapel. Arrangements by DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, Ross.
