George H. Bower, Jr., age 80, of Economy Borough, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
He was the son of the late George H. Bower, Sr., and Cecilia (Heupler) Bower.
George was the beloved husband of Sandra Bower for 57 years; loving father of Sharon Haver (Chris); and proud grandfather of Nicholas, Alexander, and Samuel. He is also survived by his siblings Bernadette Page (Bill), Kathleen Pratko (Mike), Charles Bower (Donna), Marie Swearingen (Charlie), and Marianne Yuill (Mark). He was preceded in death by his sisters Cecilia Thomas (Colin) and Virginia Gloz (Robert). George is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In George’s honor, the family encourages everyone to enjoy a day of fishing, take a boat out on the water, or crack open a cold beer and raise a toast to a life well lived.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, November 27, 2026 from 1-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, where a blessing service will be offered Saturday, November 28, 2026 at 11 am. Inurnment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery.
