Fredric C. Manly
Born January 15, 1946, Fredric C. Manly (Fred) was the son of Philip C. Manly and Dorothy (Lowe) Manly of McConnelsville, Ohio. He passed away on May 28, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford, PA after a 9 year battle with cancer.
In addition to loving his family and cat, Fred enjoyed motorcycles, banjo playing, and working on home projects. As a retired Electronics Engineer, Fred could repair almost anything.
Fred served honorably during the Vietnam War and was awarded two Army Commendation Medals. After the war, he enjoyed a 40 year career in television engineering beginning in Ohio and later in Pittsburgh, retiring in 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Jo Manly, son James (Lauren), daughters Jane and Kathleen, two grandsons, Rimba and Avery, sister Virginia (Robert) Rusiska and brother John (Jul), and nephews, Kenneth Rusiska and Ian Manly.
Due to the current pandemic situation, private family services will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors. A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at a later date.
The Family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford for the loving and compassionate care Fred had in his final days with us.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry.
