Frank Samuel Rao, 82, of McCandless peacefully passed away on July 1, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh to the late Frank and Ida Rao. Husband of 42 years to Suzanne (Lippert) Rao; former husband to Jackie (Palas) Rao; father to Frank Jr. (Heidi) Rao, Valerie Buckley, Melissa (Robert) Smith, Mark Rao, Matthew Rao, and Kevin Rao; grandfather to Nolan, Mallory, Ashton, Michael-Patrick, Cullen, Jameson, Dawson, Sarah, Jason, Drake, Gavin, Cassius; great grandfather Oaklyn and one on the way; brother to June (John) Termini, Paul (Martina) Rao, David (Maryann) Rao, The late Roberta Powers and Joseph (Helen) Rao; and an uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He worked for many years as a manager in the food service industry. He enjoyed photography, home improvement projects, and golfing, and volunteering at St, Teresa Church and the Marine Corp League.
Friends will be received Monday July 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 at DEVLIN Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. The Marine Corp League will do a special short service midway through the first viewing time.
Blessing service on Tuesday July 11th at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
