Mr. Francis “Fran” Haus, Jr., age 89, of Hobe Sound, FL, formerly of McCandless Township, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00am at St. Sebastian Church on Friday, June 23, 2017. The family will receive friends at Devlin Funeral Home (Cranberry) from 2:00 to 4:00pm and then again from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017. Everyone please meet at church.

Mr. Haus was President and CEO of F. L. Haus Company, Pittsburgh. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, served in the U.S. Army and attended the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University. Fran was drafted during his junior year of high school by the St. Louis Cardinals and played professional baseball for ten years after graduation. Fran was an avid golfer as a member of Wildwood and Treesdale Country Clubs as well as the Hobe Sound Golf Club in Florida. In addition, he treasured time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Fran was the beloved husband of Judith Haus; loving father of Fran Haus, III (Sheree) of Wexford, Greg Haus of Pittsburgh and Jeff Haus (Anne) of Mars; stepfather of Rick Boland (JoAnn) of Napa, CA and David Boland (Holly) of Atlanta, GA; proud and cherished grandfather of Fran Haus IV, Jena Haus, Jeffery Haus, LeAnne Haus, Adam Haus, David Haus, Jessica Boland, Allyson Greenfield, and Andrew Boland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Christopher’s Church, 12001 SE Federal Hwy., Hobe Sound FL, 33455.
