Age 90, of Ross Twp., peacefully after a long illness on Friday, October 30, 2015. Beloved husband for 42 years of Mildred (Zaffaroni) (Haas) and 26 years of the late Jean (Eyerman); loving father of Ken, Jr., Karen Connolly, Kris Potter, Karol Dowdy (Don, Jr.), Kevin (Debbie), Kim Douthitt (Rod), Keith (Stephanie), Paul Zaffaroni (Phyllis), Kevin Zaffaroni (Aileen), and Gregg Zaffaroni (Judy Waldman); son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Fellinger) Brown; proud grandfather of 19; and great-grandfather of 11; also survived by loving friends and relatives. Friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Teresa of Avila Church on Monday 10 a.m. Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army O.S.S. during World War 2, during which time he was a prisoner of war. He was the longtime president of the National Association of Accountants, Pittsburgh Chapter. Ken was very active in the West View/Ross Athletic Association, where he enjoyed coaching baseball. One of the highlights of his 90th birthday was going to the casino with his family.
