In loving memory of Emerick Zovko, who peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

Born on February 28, 1936, in Pittsburgh, PA, Emerick was the son of the late Andrija and Anna (Fabac). He had a remarkable career spanning over 35 years in the travel industry, fueled by his passion for exploring the world. His zest for life and genuine interest in others endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Emerick’s warm and friendly greeting “A pleasant good day to you” could always brighten your day, along with a reassuring reply of “I’m fantastically well, and I hope you’re doing the same.” He could frequently be found mowing his lawn or helping his family and neighbors with theirs, weeding, planting flowers, and tackling any tree stump that stood in his way.

He was the beloved husband of 52 years to his late bride Angela Zovko (Follis). Emerick was a devoted father to Joseph C. Zovko (Claire), Andrea Griffith (David), Jackie Zovko (Dave), and Tina Morton (Brian). He was also the cherished brother to Geraldine (Frank) Petkovich and Mary Jane (Don) Sabo. He is predeceased in death by siblings Clara and Joseph. Emerick leaves behind a legacy as the proud grandfather of Taylor, Joshua, Adam, Abigail, Cadence, and Juliana.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 1-5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 am at Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Church, with Rev. John Gallagher officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the North Hills Foodbank, where he was a cherished volunteer.
