Edward A. Brinkley
Age 74, of McCandless Twp., passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at The VA Butler Community Living Center. Born in the Robinson/McKees Rocks area. He was a 1965 graduate of Langley High School. His father, Edgar, and brother, Michael preceded him in death.
Ed was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the US Army. He met his future wife, Diana Cathcart, while working for Eastern Airlines in New Jersey. They were married on August 18, 1973. After moving to Pittsburgh in 1987, Ed finished his working career, selling real estate for Coldwell Banker. He was a big fan of the black and gold, Steelers, Pirates, and especially North Allegheny – “Go Tigers!” Big Ed will be missed sitting in the stands.
Ed is survived by his wife, Diana, two sons, Doug (Michelle), and Derek (Katie). “Poppy” adored his five loving, but a “little crazy” grandchildren, Mia, Brady, Ella, Kylie, and Josie. He will be fondly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in both the Cathcart, and Brinkley families.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Matt Klenk officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Ed’s name to It’s About The Warrior Foundation, 12590 Perry Hwy., Wexford PA 15090.

Diana,
I am so very sorry to hear about Ed. You two made an amazing couple. Your love for each other was evident when you were together.
I have fond memories of Ed from the times you and I worked together at FPFP.
My favorite memory was him mocking the extremely small smoked turkey breast at a cookout. Ed was always “on” and good at making everyone laugh, but more importantly he had away of making you welcome and included.
I know your heart is broken, but I hope his beautiful memories, and God’s loves helps you through this incredibly difficult time.
Lots of love,
Nancy Grech
