Age 82, of North Side, on Wednesday, November 19, 2008; beloved husband for 58 years of Rosemary (Bann) Cowan; loving father of Earl E. Cowan, Jr. (Donna), Marcella Donnelly (Arthur) and James W. Cowan (Jackie); brother Wesley Cowan, Jr. and the late Ruth Billinger; dear grandfather of Jim, Lauren, Bridgett, Crystal, Earl, Mike and Katie; great-grandfather of Aidan and Jameson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Earl was a Letter Carrier for 35 years. Friends received Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peters Parish, St. Peters Church, North Side, Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mt. Troy Road.
