Dr. Jay Sopher

Joseph “Jay” Sopher, of Ross, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Jenny) Sopher, father of Jennifer A. (Jason) Norris and Jessica B. (Todd) Davis, beloved son of Joseph and the late Virginia Sopher, brother of James and Terry Sopher and grandfather of Hayley, Allison, Cole and Tatum Norris and Madison and Carissa Davis. Jay was a clinical psychologist in West View for 20 years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross, where a service will be at 11 a.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National MS Society, 1501 Reedsdale St., Suite 501, Pittsburgh, PA 15233 or the Asera Care Hospice Foundation, 1500 Ardmore Blvd., Suite 501, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.
