Dorothy June Ference
Age 94, of Bradfordwoods, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born June 23, 1927, daughter of the late Elmer and Mabel (Jahns) Schiller. Beloved mother of Dean (Mary), Jill (Dave), Peggy, and Paul (the late Laura); dear grandmother of Sarah, Monica, Dan, Joe, Kevin, and Greg; great-grandmother of seven.
Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was the focus and purpose of her life. She also enjoyed cooking, container gardening, birds, and dancing. She made the best potato salad in the world. Her back porch was alive with birds at the feeders and abundant crops of tomatoes grown in containers. She and partner Harold would go dancing frequently, always surrounded by other dancing friends and family. She also co-owned a drag racing car with Paul. We will miss her loving spirit and energy.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-6 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp. Funeral Services celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held on Monday at 11 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Matt Klenk officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Dorothy’s name to a charity of ones choice.
