Service: Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church at 10:00 a.m.


Dolores (Marsh) McKenna, 93, of McCandless, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. She was the daughter of Catharine (Zatlokovicz) and Peter Marsh. Stepdaughter of John Bankovich. She joins her husband, Thomas and daughter, Nancy in heaven. She was the loving mother of Thomas (Kathy) McKenna, John (Jackie) McKenna, David (MaryAnn) McKenna, and the late Nancy (Dave) Sheehan. She was grandmother to Michael McKenna, Rob Sheehan, John McKenna, Sarah Seifert, Ben Sheehan, and Maura Hinchman. Great-grandmother to David McKenna, Madeline McCarthy, and Ezra McCarthy. Dolores graduated from Carmichaels High School in Greene County and received her RN from the Fairmont West Virginia School of Nursing. She worked at Bellevue Suburban General Hospital for 30 years. She was Head Nurse in Pediatrics and later worked as Head Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgical Unit. Dolores was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church for over 60 years. After retirement, she focused on her family. She loved to go out to eat but she was the happiest when she had a full house of family and friends, all gathered for a meal.  Those gatherings will provide lasting memories of her love and kindness. Friends received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Teresa of Avila Church Saturday at 10 a.m.
