David J. Leonard, 81, of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 23, 2026.
David was born on February 10, 1944, and was the son of the late John Leonard and the late Bertha (Fauth) Leonard. He was the beloved husband of Janice Wagner Leonard, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage, and the brother of the late Susan Corbett.
David was a devoted father to Beth (Felice) Esposito, Amy Leonard, and Allison (John) Schrecengost and a proud grandfather to Matthew Winhold, Cara Winhold, Lauren Winhold, Ryan Schrecengost, Elizabeth Schrecengost, Emma Schrecengost, Ashley Schrecengost, Francesca Esposito, Giovanna (Stephen) Rubinosky, and Elena Esposito.
David was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and was a Certified Public Accountant . He retired from the Allegheny County Bar Association, where he served as the Assistant Executive Director.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and proudly served his country as a United States Navy Corpsman.
An avid traveler (especially to the beach), David loved exploring new places, scuba diving, skiing, and trying new restaurants. A longtime resident of Hampton Township, he will be remembered for his curiosity, his sense of adventure, and his deep love for his family.
Visitation is at Devlin Funeral Home 806 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15229 on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Sweden -Saints Martha and Mary Parish 2554 Wildwood Rd. Allison Park, PA 15101 on Monday February 2, 2026 at
11:00 AM.
Interment will be held at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Janice, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you’re able to find comfort in the many fun and happy times you shared together. I will always remember him as a truly jolly and wonderful man.
