James Norman Griffith

October 08, 2003 - October 07, 2026

James Norman Griffith, 22, of Cranberry Township, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, one day shy of his 23rd birthday. He was a cherished son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.

James was born October 8, 2003 in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 2022, where he participated on the lacrosse, wrestling and football teams over the years. After graduation, he entered the workforce as a cell tower technician, currently working for Nettxio in Birmingham, Alabama. This came as quite the surprise to his family who remembered his fear of heights while growing up. Those who were blessed to have known James, will remember his infectious smile, silly personality, huge loving giving heart and beautiful soul. To have James as a friend was to have someone who was loyal, kind, happy to help you and always had your back. He loved freely, without any hesitation or judgment…something we could all be better at doing. James loved the ocean/beach, hunting with his dad, exploring places with his mom, his dog, Foster, Taco Bell/Chipotle and Halloween (the scarier the mask, the better). He found his comfort in a hoodie, sweatpants, a baseball cap (most times worn backwards) and a pair of slides.

James is survived by his loving devoted parents, Jim and Jill Griffith of Cranberry Township; his grandfather, James Griffith of Peters Township; his uncle, Jeff Williams of Allison Park; his aunt and uncle Terry and Jeff Potts of Jackson Hole, WY; his aunt and uncle Erin and Rich Dube of New Market, NH; his aunt and uncle Tracie and John Vincent of Eastham, MA; his aunt and uncle Kelley and David Hurt of Searcy,Ar; and his 14 cousins. James is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sybilla Griffith, and Audrey and Norman Williams.

To know James was to love him. He came into this world early and left us much too soon. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 5-7 pm at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in James’s name to St. Jude’s or Animal Friends.
