Kinross,

Daniel P.

Age 82, of Ross Twp., passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Dan was a man who truly lived to love others, and he leaves behind a legacy that spans generations. He is and will always be lovingly remembered by his children Kevin (Jennifer) and Karrie Schmitt (TJ), their mother Janet, his grandchildren, Kate, Tyler, Natalie, Jack, Andrew and Lauren; his loving companion Eloise (Virgin) Peet and her children Owen Jones (Gina), and Ellis Peet (Chelsea). Preceded in death by his parents George and Helen (Stim) and his sister Carole Mammay While Dan’s ability to connect with people from all walks of life made him a friend to many, we were the lucky ones that grew beyond friendship into family. Dan lived a long life of service, beginning with the United States Coast Guard, continuing as a commissioner for Ross Township and coaching many youth sports, and concluding with his kindness to everyone who knew him. As Dan always told us, this isn’t goodbye, it’s see ya down the road.

Friends will be received Sunday from 1-7PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 806 Perry Hwy. Pgh, PA 15229. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Teresa of Avila Church , 800 Avila Ct., Pgh, PA 15237 (Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish) on Monday 10AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alzfdn.org.
