Of Ross Twp Age 83 died on Mon. 12-2-02 of Cardio Pulmonary Arrest and Pneumonia
at Vincentian Home, McCandless Twp. He was born in Mt Pleasant, Pa. On 11-1- 19 son of the late John and Theresa Kendi Gabos.
Graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe, and Univ. Of Pgh Medical School class of 1944. Dr. Gabos was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church, Ross Twp.
He practiced medicine on the North Side of Pgh for over 45 years and was on the staff of St. John’s Hospital, Divine Providence Hospital and Suburban General Hospital. Dr. Gabos was honored by the United Mental Health Committee on alcoholism for lifetime contribution in the field of alcohol treatment. He was a member of the AMA, Pa Medical Society, and the Allegheny Co. Medical Society.
He was also a member of Shannopin Country Club.

Hogenmiller Vernon of Delaware, Thomas F. Hogenmiller (Aurora) of Calif., Susan M. Hogenmiller Mergenthaler (Brian) of Pine Twp., and Gerald J. Hogenmiller (Kelly) of Cranberry Twp.
Also survived by 13 granchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Brother of Betty J. Ferrari, John T. Gabos, Richard R. Gabos, Paul Gabos,M.D., and J. Robert Gabos.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel V. McWade Gabos and 2 sisters, Irene and Theresa Gabos.
Burial was in North Side Catholic Cemetery, Ross Twp.
