Edward Hughes

age 84 of Ross Twp. Died on Dec. 9, 2002 at Cumberland Crossing, McCandless Twp. He was born in New York, N.Y. on 5-2-18 son of the late Owen and Marcella Kiernan Hughes. He was a retired Vice President for Daniel, Sapp and Borne. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church where he was a long time usher and a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society and a WWII Veteran.
Survived by 2 daughters, Kathleen M. McGuire and her husband, David of Ill. And Carolyn M. “Lynn” Gabos and her husband, Dick of Wexford. Grandfather of Kiernan K. Gabos Faulhaber and her husband, Mark of Ohio.
Great grandfather of Owen, Conor, and Liam.
Brother of Barnard Hughes of New York.
Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Burns Hughes, 3 sisters, Helen Williams, Rose Phelan and Marcella Holler and 2 brothers, Eugene and Joseph Hughes.
Visitation Thurs. And Fri. 2-4, 7-9 PM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Ross Twp. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa of Avila Church Sat. 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Allegheny Co. Memorial Park.
In Lieu of flowers contributions to the St. Teresa of Avila St. Vincent De Paul Society or to St. Paul’s Monastery.
