Bradford James Hanes, 58, of Wexford, PA, passed away on October 18, 2024.

Brad was born on January 17, 1966, in Youngstown, Ohio, to James and Susan Hanes. He grew up in Pittsburgh where he graduated from North Hills High School. He then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned a B.S in Finance and Economics. Bradford furthered his education with an MBA from the Joseph M Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.

After completing his education, Brad joined CS McKee and Company, an investment management firm, where he rose to the rank of Vice President. Upon leaving McKee, Brad pursued various entrepreneurial ventures.

After a series of personal challenges, Brad found renewed purpose in dedicating himself to the well-being of others. He returned to school where he earned an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania (now Pennsylvania Western University). This led him to his second career as a Licensed Professional Counselor, where through his work, Brad found peace and serenity in helping people, a passion he carried the rest of his life.
On June 15, 2002, Brad married Nicole Thompson in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they raised three children in Pittsburgh. Brad was a devoted husband, father and son.

Brad was known for his big heart and outgoing personality. He was very active and loved both water and snow skiing, exercising, body building, riding motorcycles, and playing guitar. He excelled in all those activities, but he shined most brightly on the tennis court. His academic and athletic achievements earned him a place in the North Hills High School Athletic Hall of Fame as well as the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Athletic Hall of Fame.

Brad is survived by his parents James and Susan Hanes, his loving wife, Nicole, his three children – Amanda Koshute (Timothy), Braden Hanes and Kendall Hanes, his brother Gregory Hanes and his sister Laura Winter (Stephen).
