Bernard J. Swick, Sr.
Age 95 of Freedom, Pa. formerly of McCandless Twp. on October 6, 2022. Beloved husband of Virginia Hewlett Kotermanski Swick and the late Margaret Swick. Father of Bernie Swick, Jr. (Tammy), Betsy Peterson (Jon), Patty Peretik (Tom), Tom Swick (fiancee Tammy Conrad), the late Linda Cunningham (surviving Mark) and the late Suzie Shinder (late Mike).
Stepfather of Walt Kotermanski, Jr. (Terri), Kevin Kotermanski (Melissa), Kristin England (Chad), Kara Crane (Mark) and Kelley Kotermanski (fiance Trey Tucker). Also survived by 17 grandchildren and step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
No viewing. Services will be private. Bernie was a WW2 Navy Veteran. He was one of the original ticket takers with the former Pgh. Civic Arena and also a welder with Ironworker’s Local #3. In 1988 Bernie established Swick Ornamental Iron in Wildwood, Pa., working well into his 81st year. Bernie loved life and life loved him. He will be greatly missed.
