Age 22, of Ohio Township, on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Beloved son of James P. Russell III and Leslie T. Russell, brother of JP and Rob Russell.Preceded in death by his adored father Robert L. Thomas and grandparents Robert J. Thomas “Boots” and Jeanne L. Thomas “Dolly”.Ben is also survived by many friends and relatives. Ben graduated from Sewickley Academy in 2008. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.During college he spent his summers working on Put-in-Bay, Ohio before joining the Navy as Hospitalman Apprentice and member of the Color Guard.Ben also worked part time as an assistant nurse at UPMC Passavant.Ben had a unique zest for life and we are left wondering who he would have been, where he would have gone, and what impact he would have had on this world. Friends will be received at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy. Ross Twp., on Thursday, May 17 from 2-4 & 6-8PM.A Memorial service will be held Friday, May 18 at 7PM at The Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon, 7501 Church Ave, Pgh, PA 15202.Internment will be private at Allegheny County Memorial Park Saturday, May 19.
