Barbara J. Loesch
Age 88, of McCandless, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Born August 16, 1935, daughter of the late Ambrose and Regina Winterberger. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Anthony A. Loesch. Loving mother of Margaret Smith (Richard), Catherine Steigerwald (Alan), Karen Fuchs (Gene), Barbara Bookser (Daniel), and Anthony J. Loesch (Trina). Dearest and best “Nanny” to 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A lifelong Pittsburgher, Barbara enjoyed baking, playing cards, bingo, bowling, watching the Steeler game on Sunday afternoon and spending time with her family. By far, her greatest source of pride and joy was watching her grandchildren as they grew-up and began to have their own families, her happiest days were when the great-grandbabies came to visit.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, October 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy., North Hills. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, October 19 at 11 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful care team at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford where Barbara spent her final days.
