Armen Louise Gonano, age 88, of Reserve Twp., passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. Daughter of the late Americo and Brigida (Capellari) Gonano; sister of the late Carmen Marchese (Eugene Sr.); loving aunt of Kathleen Marchese, Neil (Claire) Marchese, Lynn (the late Robert) Leghart, Brigida (Robert) Mertz, and the late Eugene Marchese Jr. (survived by Shanon); niece of the late Sebastian Gonano. Also survived by many loving great-nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Also preceded in death by her great niece, Polly Marchese. Services and interment will be private. Armen was a graudate of Duquesne University and was a longtime teacher with Pittsburgh City Schools.

We want to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Armen Gonano. She was a great person and a wonderful neighbor. I loved talking sports with her – she knew more then some of the broadcasters. It was fun just bragging to her about my grandson and my great nieces and nephew. I like listening to her stories about how proud she was of her family. I can go on and on – I know she is with the angels above – because – she was and angel!
