Doris Marie (Hauck) Pierce passed away on January 20, 2023, after facing all her health challenges bravely and determinedly. Doris was born on March 8, 1934, to the late Joseph and Marie Hauck. Loving mother to Lori and Brian (Lee) Pierce; grandmother to ‘her favorite Grandson’ Zack Evans; sister to the late Bob (Jean), Eugene (Mil), Rich (Betty), and Joe (Betty) Hauck. She was also a loving aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Doris worked for Duquesne Light in the 1960’s, but her biggest accomplishment and what brought her the most joy was becoming a mom. She was wife to Jack for 37 years, mom, and homemaker for 60 years. She was fiercely independent and even rescued her dog, Sasha, at the age of 86. Doris was happiest when spending time with her friends and family and was always smiling and making friends with everyone she met. Although she was deeply saddened to leave her friends and family, she is now reunited with the Lord.
The family would like to thank the team at Commonwealth Hospice and Ashton Commons for their love, support, and care.
Friends will be received on Tuesday at 10 AM to 11:45 AM at Devlin Funeral Home, 806 Perry Hwy. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 PM at St. Athanasius, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Athanasius, Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Parish.
